An independent service
The Self Publishing Serial Number Project is operated by Written Word Print and Publishing FZC. It is not a government body, public authority or official ISBN, DOI, ISSN or ISMN agency.
What an SPSN does not prove
An SPSN does not create or prove copyright, authorship, ownership, permission, accuracy, safety, academic value or quality. It does not mean that we endorse the publication, its creator, its publisher or its contents.
Acceptance by other organisations
A retailer, library, distributor, platform or authority may require another identifier or may not recognise an SPSN. You must check the requirements for every place where you want to use it. We cannot guarantee acceptance by another organisation.
Service availability and outside information
We take reasonable steps to keep applications, payments and public lookup working, but we cannot promise that the service will always be available or free from errors. Applicants and third parties remain responsible for the links and information they provide.
